Presentation of LGCO

Dince November 2020, the LGCO is headed by Eric REMY (COULD) and Anne-Laure Gatignon (COULD) with the support of a laboratory council made up of elected members and invited external members. The LGCO was created under the name "Laboratory Management and Cognition" (LGC) in 1995. It included both in management and computer science faculty members. In 2006, the reorganization of graduate schools by subject area led the computer to leave the LGC. This has led to a profound change and for a profound restructuring of the laboratory and its research areas. LGC has become a research unit exclusively in Management Science. The title “Management and Cognition” then translating laboratory research project : study the organization as a cognitive system, ie a system that produces and consumes knowledge through the dynamics of a social organization. In 2011, LGC changes its name “Laboratoire Governance and Control Therganisationnel (LGCO)”, following a redefinition of science project focused around the cross governance theme. This reorganization reflects the will of the laboratory decompartmentalize disciplines within management science. The objective is to realize the organizational reality where governance issues simultaneously accounting and financial dimensions, Business, organizational and human, strategic. This choice facilitates exchanges and collaborations between lab members around 3 themes for the contract 2019-2024 : Anthropocene & Management -Antropogenic Management (Thème 1), Information & Management (Thème 2), Santé & Management – Health Management (Thème 3).

LGCO the researchers are working with those from other disciplines within the framework of multidisciplinary projects with institutional stakeholders and professionals looking for land.
